Genetic improvement for resistance to viruses of “Borlotto, rosso di Cuneo” bean, “Cuor di Bue” tomato and “Corno di Toro” and “Quadrato di Carmagnola” peppers

The project aims at introducing resistance genes to common virus diseases in tomato, pepper and bean cultivars from Piedmont. “Cuor di Bue” tomato will be transformed with Sw5 and Tm-1 and Tm-22 resistance genes. Corno di Toro and Quadrato di Carmagnola peppers will be transformed with Tsw resistance gene. “Borlotto rosso di Cuneo” bean will be transformed  with I or/and bc3 resistance genes.
