Giovanni Bubici

Dr. Giovanni Bubici is currently a researcher at the Institute of Plant Virology, UOS Bari, of the Research National Council (CNR). His research activity has been focused on first reports of viruses and phytoplasma in Puglia, Italy, on the study of chemical and biological control with streptomycetes of Verticillium dahliae and Pyrenocaheta lycopersici, and on the identification of genetic resistance sources against Verticillium dahliae in olive, eggplant, artichoke and strawberry, and Leveillula taurica in eggplant. In the last years, he has gained a good competence in parametric, non-parametric statistical methods and generalized linear models applied to biological systems. During his work activity, he has participated in 26 national and international research projects, and has personally presented his researches in 7 national meetings. He is co-author of 33 scientific publications on plant pathology in national and international journals (total impact factor of 16.5, h-index of 3, and 28 citations), including 10 full articles in ISI journals, 7 in non-ISI journals, 2 book chapters, 12 abstracts and 2 co-editing of meeting proceedings.
